Let’s Catch Up!

Meet my newest little, Alivia Grace!

Meet my newest little, Alivia Grace!

I’ve come to terms with the fact that these recap posts will happen more frequently in this current season of my life since I can’t commit to consistently blogging right now. Life requires me to be more present personally and that is ok. What I can say is every time I get the chance to steal away and write, it feels like home. So what’s new with me?

I’m grinning as I type because SO much is new since I last posted. We went from a family of four to a family of five. My sweet Alivia Grace is now five months old. I finally made the commitment to loc (dreadlock) my hair. We are moving into a new home (still in Richmond) next year. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Nursing. My husband and I featured in a song on an album for the first time. Oh and my firstborn is now a first grader. I told you it was a lot, ha ha!

After reading those updates you’re probably thinking that life must be going pretty smooth considering those are all good things. On one hand, I can agree to that assumption because circumstantially, life is really good and I’m so grateful. On the other hand however, I’ve been fighting an internal battle that has challenged my faith and attempted to steer me in a direction that would only lead to self-sabotage physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Since I’m just giving a brief update I will go more in depth in my next blog, but I wanted to say that though I am in the thick of this battle, I am not without hope. As a matter of fact, I am more convinced than ever that the Jesus I surrendered my life to at the age of 12 is REAL!

I’m excited to share the specifics of some of these updates and how I’ve been delighting in the Lord really soon and of course I will include some photos too! As always it’s great to chat with you so if you’d like, leave a comment even if it’s just to say hi! Until then may the God of peace be with all of you (Romans 15:33).
